The SCAA Undergraduate Scholarship in Environmental Sciences in Memory of Dr. Thomas F. Dalton.

The Spill Control Association of America (SCAA) has established an undergraduate scholarship in environmental sciences in memory of Dr. Thomas F. Dalton. The endowed scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in university level courses in environmental sciences.

Dr. Dalton was a highly educated individual who was very active in our profession. He spent much of his time training and educating others in environmental issues, most notably in health and safety matters.

SCAA therefore thought it appropriate to set up a scholarship to assist students focused on environmental studies to meet their financial obligations. In addition to receiving the scholarship, award recipients will also receive an honorary membership to SCAA and given the opportunity to interact with our membership.

Selections of the scholarship recipients are made primarily based upon academic merit. The number and amount of the scholarship award(s) is made at the discretion of the SCAA.
